Jo Ann Bland was eleven years old when she participated in the March on “Bloody Sunday”. She was arrested for the first time at age eight when she participated in a demonstration in Selma.
She is the guide for Sojourn students when they walk across the Edmond Pettus Bridge.
On February sixth Jo Ann spoke at the Tyler Historical Center in Youngstown to share her experiences.
